My Bedside Buddy

When I think of hand cream, I see pretty packages and beautiful scents. That isn’t what you get with the Dr.organic Manuka Honey Hand & Nail Cream.
What you do get is an almost clinical like chunky tube with the promise of an “intense moisturise that penetrates through the epidermal layer, accelerates cell renewal and restores dry hands”.

When I saw this unloved product on my bathroom shelf I thought I’d give it a whirl (I believe it was originally my Mum’s) and it has become my bestest bedside friend. I use this every morning and every night and a bunch of times in between – not that this is necessary, I just like to ensure my hands are at their softest.

The organic hand cream from the bioactive skincare range contains Manuka honey, olive oil, vitamin E and sunflower oil and coconut oil extract all of which combine for moisturised, nourished and restored hands.

The cream itself is of luxurious thickness, is of very pale yellow colour and smells strongly of Manuka honey. There is a disclaimer on the back though, which states that ‘due to the ingredients natural origin, colour and consistency may vary from batch to batch...this does not effect the quality of the product.’

All in all this is a good quality, highly moisturising hand and nail cream that I would recommend to those of you with dry or damaged hands. Pick it up from Holland & Barrett for £5.89.

Breakfast Time!

I'm on a mission to be a healthier person, I want my insides to love me and you know, losing some weight would be fab - but mostly I want to be healthy. I recently went into Tesco and picked up a few ingredients for what you might call a Pinterest worthy breakfast...

You will need:
  • Greek 0% fat yogurt - or yogurt of your choice
  • A serving of your favourite granola
  • Handful of fresh raspberries
  • Handful of fresh strawberries
  • Half a banana (chopped)
Simply layer your ingredients, I like to put a spoonful of yogurt in my bowl, followed by a serving of granola (this particular granola tastes SO good) and then all my fruits on top.
There you have a simple healthy breakfast perfect for Summer. You could also make it as a snack.

What do you like to eat for breakfast?

T-Shirt Weather

If you're in the UK then you'll know we have been privileged with a whole lot of sunshine this past week. It's getting to the time of year when I can go to bed without bed socks and the electric blanket - yippee!
I've been enjoying 't-shirt weather' a lot and thought I'd share some snaps with you so you can see what I've been up to.

Isn't this flower so pretty? It reminds me of a center piece in a restaurant.

I spent some quality time with the horse trying to brush away her winter coat! I should really clean my boots too..

I went for an evening walk with my friend and we didn't get back until it was dark.

I've also been riding my horse a lot, isn't this track gorgeous?

Speaking of gorgeous, just look at this view!

And finally, how cute is this baby lamb?!

How have you been enjoying the sun?
