I know we're mid November now and in just a few weeks it will be winter (seriously, where is this year going?!) but I saw the Autumn tag a while ago on Alice's blog and since she tagged anyone reading to do it, I wanted give it a go for myself. While we're on the subject of Autumn I thought I'd share with you a couple of pictures I took while walking in the glen the other day.

What's your favourite drink from a coffee shop?
As far as I'm aware, on the Isle of Man the only big coffee shop chain we have is Costa and I hate to admit that i'm not a fan. Last Christmas I tried a black forest gateux hot chocolate and I felt so ill afterwards! I don't drink coffee, or lattes or ice teas. I'm a plane jane. My favourite drink though is a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. Mmm.

What accessories do you tend to opt for?
Chunky scarves!

What is your favourite music to listen to?
My music choices don't change with the seasons.

What is your favourite scent at this time of year?
I'm allergic to perfume so I'm going to say a candle scent, and I love the strong berry/spice scents around now. My favourite is Yankee Candle Black Cherry!

What scents will you be burning at this time of year?
Well I feel like I've already answered this...

What do you love the best about autumn?
Cooler weather, the colours, candles, hot chocolate, cosy nights in, scarves and JUMPERS.

What is your favourite make up look?
Flawless skin with a dusty pink cheek, clean eye and deep berry lip <3

What are you looking forward to most this autumn?
New make up releases, binges on Netflix & double the amount of hot chocolate.

I don't tag anyone because the season is almost over now, but on the bright side, not long 'til it's Chriiiisssstttmaaaassssss (imagine me saying that like in the song).

Four Bloggers That Make Me Smile

You may or may not have seen the tag floating around Facebook where people are being asked to share their favourite photos that make them smile. Being in the mood to share some love I thought I'd adapt this one and share with you my top four bloggers that always make me smile.

Laura - The Confessions Of A Professional Drama Queen - I simply have to include Laura because her blog is one of my very favourites. She is hilarious and ever so lovely. If you've not visited her little space on the net as yet, then do so right now! You wont regret it.

Alice - Annie Writes Beauty - To Alice I may seem a bit like a stalker, I read her blog and follow her on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram! I'm always liking her pictures or laughing at her tweets but I promise I'm not really a stalker. She's just always making me smile, whether it be a cute picture of flowers on  IG or an OOTD on Facebook or even when I read one of her excellent beauty posts. Alice is definitely another of my firm favourites.

Alice - Alice's Antics - Another Alice, oh how confusing. This Alice's tag line is 'opinions, accidents and misadventures'. Yep, that definitely describes her blog and every single post of hers is properly thought out and well written. I've also recently discovered we share a love of Lauren Aqualina (if you don't know who that is, why not?). I highlight recommend giving Alice's Antics a read.

Jessica - Blonde of Carbs - Jessica is always leaving little comments on my blog posts and that is one of the main reason I'm including her in this; because the fact that she takes a little bit of time out of her day to read my blog and leave me a comment makes me smile. I really do need to make more of an effort in returning the favour as she runs a fantastic blog.

Whether they cheer you up when your down, bring you to tears with their humour, inspire you with their wisdom or just make you want to buy another lipstick, which bloggers make you smile? Let me know!

November Lust List

Christmas with Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher. I've read both of Gi's books but my favourite was definitely Billy and Me which is why I'm super excited to get my hands on this new short sequel for Christmas. Waterstones, £1.99

Benefit The Porefessional Primer. Despite still swearing by my Smashbox Photo Finish, this week I've been using up my sample size of this and I may have been converted. I love how my make up sits on top of this and so I'm interested to try the full size. Boots, £22.05.

Lorac Mega Pro Palette. I haven't been this excited about a palette since Naked 3, and in all honesty, this one looks way better! I'm desperate to get my hands on this. It's so expensive though and currently sold out everywhere I look. Sob.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition - Happy Nude Year. I've not yet tried these lip products yet, or any lip product from Bourjois as a matter of fact. As a lover of the brand this has to change and the release of this new nude (try saying that ten times fast) will be my excuse to venture in. It looks like my perfect shade. Boots, £8.99

Liebster Award

Once again it's been far too long between blog posts. I'm a bad blogger but I'm pretty sure that by this point you all already knew that. So yesterday I was nominated for another Liebster Award by the gorgeous Laura Brown from Lauras Beauty Fashion Lifestyle. Thank you so much to her and make sure you go and have a read over at her blog.

I'm just going to get straight in with answering Laura's questions...

How long have you been blogging?
Almost 2 years on the whole, wow! However it's only been a few months here on The Clumsy Beauty.

What made you want to start blogging?
It was around the point where I had been really getting into YouTubers and was just discovering their blogs (namely Zoe Sugg & Sprinkle of Glitter) and from there I found a whole world of other blogs and bloggers. Reading them all inspired me and made me want to start my own. Since then, the 'bloggersphere' has become my new favourite place.

Do you have any hobbies?
Obviously make up is one of my biggest hobbies, if you could call it that. I also really love horse riding and have my own horses, I'm a big reader and I love taking pictures too.

Favourite subject in school?
I didn't really had any favourites as I just hated the school environment but during my GCSEs I loved my ICT and Textiles lessons and that was all thanks to the best two teachers and a lovely group of friends in my classes.

Do you prefer fashion or beauty?
Beauty all the way; I've just never been into fashion at all.

What's your favourite drug store make up brand?
Rimmel and Bourjois equally. I have so many of their products.

What's your favourite high end make up brand?
I don't have much high end make up because it's all a bit pricey so I only splash out when it's something I really, really want. I'm going to say Urban Decay.

If you could only shop in one shop forever, what shop would it be?
Realistically I'd say Marks & Spencer because it has clothes, beauty products, homeware and food but if you're asking my favourite shop I have to say Boots or New Look.

What is your favourite thing that has happened so far this year?
I passed my driving test earlier in the year, I don't know what I'd do without a license and a car now!

Would you rather not wear powder or not wear mascara for the rest of your life?
This one is easy for me! I could easily not wear powder - as long as you just mean setting powder and not eye shadows, blushes, bronzers etc! That would be awful. I know you can get false lashes but I've never ever tried them and I don't even powder all over on a daily basis so I'd be fine.

What's your favourite film?
I hate questions like this, I can never pick! Films I highly rate include P.S. I Love You, The Fault In Our Stars, 10 Things I Hate About You & Cyberbully.

  1. I have read and loved every single book by Cecelia Ahern
  2. I'm allergic to perfume
  3. I'm attracted to anything with fairy lights
  4. I'd rather stay at home in my pjs watching TV than go out on a weekend
  5. I went through a phase of being absolutely obsessed with Gary Barlow and Take That
  6. Everybody says that I'm slightly OCD
  7. I don't want to get married
  8. I'm very competitive
  9. I have size 9 feet
  10. I'm a bit of a drama queen
  11. Jessie J is one of my all time favourite artists/people

You can have any animal in the form of a onesie, which one do you choose?
If you're not blogging, what are you doing?
Lipstick or lip gloss?
Natural or defined brows?
Who is your favourite author?
What is your favourite thing about Winter?
What is your biggest life goal?
What is your favourite memory?
Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? Are you still blogging?
Go to the cinema or get the DVD?
What is the best thing that has come to you from blogging?

I've answered 11 questions, given 11 facts about myself and provided 11 questions for my nominees. I have thanked and linked to the lovely Laura and displayed the Liebster badge. All that is left to do is nominate some more bloggers! There are so many great ones out there that I'd just like to ask anybody that is reading to do it and leave the link to your responses in the comments. In particular though, I'd like to nominate The Lilac Scrapbook (beautiful blog, deserves lots more readers), HollyPops (very cute blog) and A South Wales Blog (I just love, love, love the design of this blog).
